There are a lot of things to consider about SEO even before building a site, otherwise your site may get into deep trouble or will be totally wasted without getting listed on search engines plus losing all the efforts you put inside. Here are several common errors that people would do on their sites and ended up not having a good listing on search engines, even though the sites are somewhat good.

New into building website and consider using Flash as an interesting beginning.

• Halt at once! Even though Google and Yahoo have started to improve on their spiders to crawl Flash contents, they are still far from real. Search engine may not index as much data as the actual contents really have. Plus, the costs are terribly expensive either to build a Flash site or to optimize them. It is better to build an ordinary website and implement your Flash objects in within the pages instead of creating a full flash site.

Comment and forum spamming is a foolish work.

• These places are meant for people to have discussions, opening conversations and exchanging ideas, any spammers around can be really irritating. By default, most blogging tools like Blogger and WordPress have already implemented a "nofollow" tag within the comment section of the blog templates and spam filters to prevent unusual links from being counted for SEO. Learn to be a person who truly share useful ideas, offer more of your wise advice and help others around without the intention to get something back. In a long-run, you may be getting more attentions and people will start to look after you and will maybe offer you a link back to your website.
